The Orange Players provides opportunities for all individuals to expand their talents, learn new skills, challenge themselves, and become part of a supportive and interactive team while building lasting friendships. 

Besides a storied history of successful plays, musicals, and events, Orange Players is dedicated to serving our community. An active member of the Orange Chamber of Commerce, the group participates in local fairs, events, for the last two years has joined the Orange Volunteer Fire Department in their annual Haunted Houses scare-fest. Throughout the years, Orange players has also donated resources to the community, including a baby grand piano to High Plains Community Center for all to enjoy.  

We look forward to keeping the time-honored traditions alive on our stage while always welcoming fresh, new, exciting ideas. We hope you’ll join us.

Become A Member

We hope you will consider becoming an Orange Player!

For a modest annual fee, you will receive:

  • Periodic newsletters

  • Email notifications of all the latest OP news, including auditions, performances, membership meetings, performances of fellow members outside OP, etc.

  • A vote at general membership meetings

  • An opportunity to take part in theatre workshops, where you may learn, or hone your existing skills in auditioning, vocal technique, acting improvisation, set building, directing, etc.

  • The chance to enjoy your love of theatre with those who love it as much as you do

A schedule of membership dues is as follows [with $2.00 for each additional member in each household for each membership type]. Membership year begins, and is renewable, on September 1 for each full year but you may join at any time!

Jerome L. Honig Scholarship

The Jerome L. Hoenig Scholarship Award was created in 1979 in memory of Jerry Hoenig, who directed OP's first mainstage production. Since its inception, the Orange Players hae awarded annual scholarships to students from Amity High School who have made outstanding contributions to theatre and who plan to pursue further education in that discipline. Recipients of the award are chosen by the school administration.
